Ardmore distillery was built in 1898 by the son of the founder of a famous blending house. Over the years it has been enlarged, with the number of stills increasing from its original two to eight today.
Ardmore is situated near Kennethmont, in the fertile farmlands of Aberdeenshire.
Although the disttate is peated, this Highland malt was matured for seven years in an ex-islay Bourbon barrel, adding an extra layer of luscious peat smoke. Powerful aromas of earthy peat, citrus, Cullen skink and barley are followed by a similarly smoky palate, A perfect hipflask whisky.
